“Der Blick des Anderen” (The View of the Other) and themes such as the construction of identity, exoticisation, colonialism, voyeurism and reflections on the familiar and the alien are the focus of the Fifth European Month of Photography Berlin.
This festival catalogue documents the contributions of the 100 participating institutions and provides a snapshot of the “View of the Other” in photography.  The artistic positions are presented with extensive illustrations and a comprehensive essay section and fundamental questions relating to photography are debated in expert discussions.
