About us

Kerber Verlag is an independent, international art book publisher based in Berlin. Since 1985, we have been publishing high-quality, sophisticated, and individual publications on contemporary and modern art, as well as on photography, architecture and cultural history.

Our repertoire reflects and accompanies current developments and issues in contemporary art with exciting publications. As a publishing house, we create visibility for relevant topics and attach great importance to highlighting the diversity of the local and international exhibition landscape, as well as presenting viewpoints that stimulate discourse on art and its social significance.

We take the utmost care with each publication, which is why we accompany the entire process of creation of each book with meticulous attention to detail using the expertise we have built over many years—all the way from the initial creative idea to the technical implementation, PR, and international distribution. We work with expert designers, translators, editors, lithographers and leading print houses. We set great store by the fact that our books are produced exclusively in Germany. This not only strengthens the local network in the printing and book industry, but also minimizes the environmental impact of our production and logistics.

Across our 40-year history, we have published more than 2,000 books to the highest quality standards and have won numerous book prizes. Our publications are available worldwide through a dense distribution network that actively markets our books in over 85 countries.

Submissions

We welcome project proposals and publication drafts via email at submissions@kerberverlag.com. We will be happy to get in touch with you if we can envision a collaboration.

We do not accept unsolicited physical submissions. Thank you for your understanding.
